It's time to kick off the indoor season with the game we all know and love... VOLLEYBALL!
What's New :
- Depending on the total number of teams, playoffs will be split into multiple divisions/levels
- This increases the chances that you'll play teams of similar skill level, whether beginner or advanced!
- This in turn increases your chances of winning!
Date and Time:
- Sunday, September 23rd, 2007 from 11:45am to 6pm.
Location:
- Robert F. Osborne Centre Gymnasium, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC.

Format:
- 6 vs. 6 (Co-Ed 6s with no libero substitution)
- A minimum of 2 females must be on the court at all times (no maximum).
- All players must be under 6 feet tall except for 1 import player whose height is between 6'0" and 6'4".
- Round Robin
- One 22-minute timed set to 25 (rally point hard-cap).
- Record during round robin will be used to determine seeding in Playoffs.
- Playoffs
- Single-elimination format - best of 3 sets (25/25/15, capped at 25/25/17 or 1 hour, whichever comes first)
Levels:
- Round Robin will be used to determine seeding/levels/divisions
- During playoffs, teams will be split up so that they will play with others of the same skill level
- < 5 teams = 1 big pool
- 6 teams = 2 pools (top and bottom)
- 7+ teams = 3 pools (top, middle, and bottom)
Prizes:
- Winner of the top pool receives six t-shirts that say who you are--"Champions"---as well as $60.
- The winners of the middle and bottom pool receive t-shirts (no "Champions" designation)..
Registration:
- Registration fee - $120
- But if full payment is received by Mon., Sep. 17th, you get a $10 discount.
- Please add an additional $20 for the performance bond.
- Performance bond of $20 must be submitted with each registration, refundable at the end of the tourney provided no infractions below occur.
- Officiating - Every team must complete reffing duties during the playoffs.
- Food/drink mess - No food or drinks in the gym.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct - Violence or intent to injure will result in ejection of the entire team and bond.
Notes:
- We reserve the right to change the tournament format depending on the number of teams in order to maximize the number of games for all participants.
- All teams will be guaranteed at least 7 sets of play total (equivalent to 3.5 games).
